Good on ya for getting back to actual cooking. Never could understand the need to do everything in an instant and carting a cooker around just to boil water. Half the experience is enjoying a decent cooked meal over a fire or spirit burner like the Optimus 8r. Been doing this for decades and never felt I was disadvantaged in anyway. Did buy a MSR Pocket Rocket with a small frypan last year for one or two night fly camps but still just cook on it. Could have a meal cooked in the time it takes to boil water.
