Haven’t personally owned any of either myself, but need a new pair, am looking at the Lowa Ticam pros or the crispi Nevada legend gtx (not sure if these are crampon compatible) what’s everyone’s preference and why? No judgement!

I've had Lowas for a long time. Great boots.
Had Asolo prior though.
Everyone is different.
Need to try them and choose what fits the best. Brand doesn't matter.

I use the Crispi nevada for work doing track work and some goat culling. They are an epic boot and will buy again. They have held up very well for 2 years of hard use. I have a wide foot with an high arch and have dramas with finding boot to fit my feet. First day using them did a 22km walk with no hot spots or blisters.
I have had a pair of asolos but found they are really narrow in the toes and have a very stiff shank. Great for the tops but shit on wet tree roots.
Have to agree with @cambo, obviously you would look for a brand with a good reputation but after that you really need to get them on your feet.
If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle
Haven’t tried Lowas but I’ve got the Crispi Nevadas and love em. Like Porter, the first weekend (Waitangi weekend 2020) I got mine I spent the weekend in the Tararuas. Covered some big hills & long miles and were comfy as hell. They’ve had several years of regular use and show no signs of letting up. Will definitely replace with the same when it comes time. Can’t advise on how they’ll go with crampons though.
But like others have said, footwear is a very personal thing so I’d recommend trying on a variety of boots before buying.
Had 3 pairs of lowa's, scarper, zamberland, asolo's and now on my 3rd set of crispi highly rate them, they are the only boots ive walked the tread off and made slicks.
Was a big fan of the lowa rangers s2 fit my feet great but all 3 pairs fell apart with out a whole lot of abuse just use havnt had it with any other boot

I has Lowas and they were rubbish as the soles disintegrated after 18 months. Took them back to retailer who stated they had failed through lack of use. I now use ‘Keen’ boots without issue.
Used lowas for 5 years and the only problem I had was the rubber seems to lack any sort of grip on rocks when crossing streams. Have just retired my pair and replaced with crispi Nevadas. Only hade them out a few times yet bit they are comfy and less slippery on the rocks. The only.other benefit I've noticed is the lacing system makes them quicker to chuck on/off. I'd go for whichever one you can get a better deal on and feels Good on your foot
Have had both and currently in the chrispis.
Had 2 pairs of lowa and both wore and fell to bits quicker than I'd have thought. Chrispis still holding up, more comfy for myself and also lighter, the lowa are like bricks, especially once wet
Cheers team, that’s great feedback. Definitely more so looking at the crispi’s as they seem to be more durable from ya info. Agree on how it really is personal preference to ya feet. Hoping crispi’s are crampon compatible.
Crispis will be crampon compatible, but you need to get the right sort of crampon. Once you have the boots take them into an outdoor shop that sells crampons/climbing gear and they will sell you the right sort n
@Maxie boy Crispi's have been my go to hunting boots for 6 yrs now, l have 3 pairs& my missus 2,(we hunt a lot in the Alps & Fiordland ), as before the Lock Down supply chain Cluster Fuck you could buy 1 pair with 50%off a second pair on the same invoice, from certain outfitters own "Black Friday" specials .Being from the Deep South,l have wide feet & Crispi are one of the few Euro Trash brands that make boot sizes for blokes who do not paint their nails or whose owners do not think putting their boots to hard use is scuffing the rubber toe on the counter while ordering a Soy Latte.
The Super Granite GTX are the purpose built Crampon suitable model l recommend for our conditions & come with a handy fold away steel heel crampon .
Make sure you take your time & do not let the counter jumper rush you when trying on for fitting in store ,if they are too busy talking to others get the manager to get someone with a brain ,take the socks you will be wearing during hunting .Properly fitted Crispi are on of the most comfortable boots l have ever worn from the get go.

used my legend gtx in the roar for 6 weeks sika hunting very comfortable not too hot and they suit my south island hunting very well aswell
I have a pair of lowa tibets which are 4 years old and still have a lot of life in them I think. As mentioned above they are very slippery on wet rocks when river crossing. Not sure how the Duleys jump around like tahr when they cross rivers in them.
When people say their boots fall to bits through lack of use it's true. Google 'hydrolysis in polyurethane mid soles'.
It's really important to use your boots often to stop this. I even use mine to walk the dog around the streets now and then if I can't get out for a hunt.
