I use a 2nd hand macpac ravine. 60l. You can get some cheaper deals than new hunting brand packs if you look around, fits all my crap and carries meat out as well. Best bet is to take all your day hunting gear into the shop then fill up the pack and see how it goes.

I told my dad to buy the miklat for his Sth island trip

Anywho might seem TOO BIG for most people but that's my preference.

I was very lucky to win a Hunters Element Boundary pack. 35L

Very impressed with it so far.
Size wise it holds similar load to my 60L MacPac Ravine.

I've had my Huntec 40l since they first came out (I would say about 20 years ago?) and it has been great. Carried some heavy loads and never had any problems with it. Not sure if they are still made like my one but if they are I would recommend it.

31L Badlands Superday, carries a heavy load well ( boned out meat only as I don't like carrying skin and bone ). 7 pockets for the gadgets etc, and has a handy rifle scabbard/ gun boot for hands free walking and climbing. A quite pack in the bush and wide shoulder straps. Have had it 5-6 years still going strong day tripping and overnighting.
