    I carry a 'bum sized' piece of closed-cell foam (think old sleeping mat off-cut) - comfy and warm. - I use a piece thinner than the 10 or 15mm sleeping pad - say 3mm thick - helps than my bro manufactures the stuff! It's also handy in pack/bum bag as it insultaes cold drink, protects binos from knocks whatever

    and yes those h&f dry arse jobs do feel like nappies. wet nappies. uugh.

    I just bought Cactus shorts - tough and sit anywhere. Not as noisy as I expected either. V happy w them. thermals if its cold etc
