    Ecoflow or similar

Looking into something like the Ecoflow or similar as a backup for the caravan as they can be charged while driving if the caravan is parked up and no sun, would also be useful at home in a power cut to top up the freezer.

I don't know much about electronic things so need some advice, caravan has 2 AGM deep cycle batteries and is used without an inverter as everything is run on the 12V, we have a separate can inverter just to charge the laptops which pugs into a cigarette socket.

How can I work out what size device I would need to be looking at and is there other brands available in NZ?

    Cheers.

Been thru a similar exercise recently to keep my fridge/freezer and some other stuffs going in the cabin.

    I found 3kw is enough
If I watch my power usage, 1 battery (B300) is enough for the weekend in the cabin with 5x fixed solar panels (220w each) constantly charging or 1 day on a cloudy day.

If you prefer ecoflow that would be ecoflow delta pro (3.6kw) but I went with bluetti ac300 (3kw)

Im sure you know you could charge ecoflow/bluetti with portable solar panel, fixed panel, 12v cigarette lighter or house power point.

And Actiontech in Nelson is the place to go.

Thanks no preference on brand, yes I know about the various charging options just not sure what size to go with, what got me thinking was seeing the ecoflows while checking out the new H&F store here in Nelson.

I would more concern about the battery life,
With backing up just the essential equipment (fridge, modem, etc) 2kw is probably enough
but not many 2kw unit have a decent or expandable batteries function.

Workout how long you want the unit/back up last for then find a suitable unit from there.
Don't get stuck with battery not last long enough, hope that help.

Good point I did see some were expandable, at some point will head in and talk to the guys at Actiontech since they are based here.
