Epirb Registration

I have just finished a job and got given my work epirb, expires in 18months.
My name should be on it as main person but its registered in now my ex employers name with there contacts. i have ask them to go on line and de resister it but its to much to ask.(got to open a new account since they have done it)
So can i go on line and register it in my name with my emergency contacts?

Ring maritime rescue for advice, the hexadecimal number for the beacon might end up duplicated on two separate registrations.
They’re very helpful and would point you in the right direction. It is in their interests to have accurate records, which in turn makes their workflow easier.
