Here are my initial thoughts about the EzeSharp Blade Sharpener I purchased recently from www.kentmaster.nz.
Price and delivery time were good. Initial set-up was relatively simple after viewing a YT clip. First attempt on an old garden knife using the stone supplied gave an excellent result. I mounted a 2000/5000 grit water stone I already had and practiced on a couple of older kitchen knives, gave them both a strop and tested them for another excellent result. So far, so good.
After a bit more reading, I swapped out the original stone for a Norton IB8 India stone (course 150 grit/fine 400 grit). This I will use for my field dressing knives. The finer grit stone will be for the kitchen and butchery knives.
I really like the flip-over and overall ease of use. Setting the stones square was the only fiddly bit. What I did not think about was the bench space required for the main frame or the storage space required for the stone frames, handles and rods.
I am pleased with my purchase and confident I can set and maintain even angles.
PS. I have ordered 50mm flip-over plates for my smaller knives e.g. Bacho.
