Good day out yesterday, cruising with mate, son and two very young grandkids, very enjoyable, bought Kaiapoi whiskey, Duck Shooters and some other port. Sampled everything, Bar was a good last stop, a beer watching the two young boys have a sword fight with Supra posters on the bar floor. Weather was reasonable

Done and dusted by 12:45. That’s when we were in the car leaving. Was given two adult tickets so that saved us $60. Potentially wouldn’t have gone if we were to pay for tickets. Nothing really at Stoney Creek. Stalker 2 boots on run out prices no sizes above 8.5. Picked up a set of wet weather gear from Betacraft. Sorry Joe and Karam you miss out this time. Will be reimbursed for it too so I get to spend that money twice. I most probably would never go just for a ‘look’ now too expensive. All good if you have a need.

I was keen to look at swazi and really keen to have a look at the range off kids bike's and maybe a dream farm bike for myself. At least they have the full range at the fieldays for viewing. Plus all the other shit that you can't just walk past
@Maca49
Their distillery is about a K away from my house. Tried a couple of their whiskies (a taste mind you not a full on session) and they tasted ok.
Nothing is really that cheap at Fieldays. IMO It's basically a once a year outdoor shopping mall with minimal discounts. (thats for the stuff I'm interested in)
I checked out the Swazi tent, had a nosie at the new ultra light tahr jacket they had on display, looks pretty cool.
Got a wallet for $20.00 "real" leather and blue tooth meat temp probe, with 2 probes, for $45.00.

Got to see the cactus gear up close,looks well made but bloody expensive,swazi rifleman as well but still pricey,good day for the boy an his mate tho,got jet boat ride to beat the traffic.
Looked at utes in my own time, only the Holden guy bother to ask if I was interested, still theyre more hungry with their sales being below half of Ford ranger and a couple of hundred below Toy whats it last month
The concept Supra looked good

Looked at the cactus jackets in chch the other day . 550 or something close . Picked up a sample canvas woe for 200
Have looked at wear on earth, cactus and cat jackets. Ended up with a caterpillar one, been blood so far, very bulky and only use from the vehicle or when working, at $150 (iirc) I'm not going to cry if I put a hole in it. Have a wear on earth vest that goes with me if tramping and love it.
I'm a fan cactus trousers, really hard wearing and last for years but yes it is expensive gear....
