Thread: Fiordland Trip - gear

Heres my gear for our imminent trip into fiordland possibly a 10 day trip, sighted in rifle last night and its putting them all in the same hole so happy as.



From left to right starting at the bottom row:

Socks - 6x pairs
Beanie and underwear
Long sleeve thermals - 4x
Hunting shorts - 1x
Longjohns - 3x
Mid layer - 1x fleece short sleeve, 1x merino short sleeve, 1x merino long sleeve
Jersey etc - 1 x fleece long sleeve thick, 1x fleece/water resistant long sleeve, 1 x puffer jacket

2nd row:
Domex down 4 season sleeping bag
Army bivvy (thanks @BRADS)
Big agnes tent - will be used on overnighter/extended trips
Waterproof fly to go over tents
Exped mat
Base camp tent ( 3 man)
Stoney creek tarn coat, stoney creek hydrotough overtrousers
2 x pair fleece pants

3rd row:
Gopro
Cooking stuff
Headlight and torch with associated batteries
Rope etc
Bino bag including gps ammo etc
Boots
Rifle (308)
Two packs, one smaller for day hunting/overnighters etc

Interested in peoples views on amount of clothes i have. i have never really done a massive trip like this into true backcountry and don't really want to overpack....

Let me know if i have missed anything, this is the bulk of the gear but things i MIGHT buy on the way down are:
Food
Gaitors (mine look a bit sick)
Rent a PLB
Plus some other small things...

I also have some luxuries like a deck chair, possibility of big cooker, mask/snorkle etc if weight is no issue
