Its hard with C8s because its a generic light, everyone make them, and quality/output varies so much.
Most of our C8s measured 15-24kcd stock, with one exceptional one reading 32kcd. Didn't bother with dedoming but it would lift them to average say 35 - 50kcd. 50-60kcd is certainly great for bunny visibility to 125-150m and bigger animals to 200m. But from our experience C8s did present other problems - eg runtime is alot lower than a 2 x 18650 torch, and some of them (the 32kcd one) had poor heatsinking and heated up so much we could not hold them after 10 minutes.
They're a simple design and very cheap. I gave up on C8s in the end because it was such a lottery as to what quality/power/output arrived at the door. But - try a Convoy and you may be ok - IF it has a SMO (smooth reflector) and not an OP (orange peel reflector). SMO throws light, OP spreads it more.
Very useful wee lights and easy to mod - some people really like them. Good beam for the shottie and at that price if you've got them attached to the bottom of the barrel/tube and the shottie recoil buggers them it doesn't matter too much.
