    Flexible metal pipe

I found that my Weber baby Q combined with my smokai is really great for very controlled hot smoking. I've had great results compared to the wee stainless boxes (although nothing wrong with them either really).
The only issue I have is that I have to unscrew the handle of the baby Q to get the pipe of the smokai under the lid which is a bit of mucking around. I was thinking that a bit flexible piping would solve the issue. It would have to be thinish to fit over the outlet pipe of the smokai.

Any idea what and where I could get it from?

Unsure of what diameter required but perhaps (25mm?) shower Flexi hose. If larger diameter needed, perhaps something from a car turbo setup. Final suggestion is the flexi pipe that connects 4wd snorkel to air box; again possibly from some car outlet.

Autobend exhaust products in East Tamaki 0800 288 623. Avoid Pit Stop, they will ream you. Usually comes in metricised imperial increments, so 41mm, 45mm, 51mm etc (1 5/8", 1 3/4", 2" etc)

38mm is the narrowest they do, but you could get around that by zapping on an adapter at each end, which shouldn't be too hard. COst $43+gst / meter

+1 I pulled some out a couple of years ago from the hot water heater. Hit your local friendly sparky up.

Larger bore pipe should work better than narrower. It’ll ‘flow’ easier IMHO
