    Garmin handheld gps 60

    Garmin handheld gps 60 are they any good I heard of one going for bot $200 is it money well spend or am I better save up & buy a new 62s it dosnt come with maps tho & can you get top maps to go onto it

    Don't do it..... save the money!
    Two choices in my mind.... Mapped gps.... (62s) , Oregon etc
    or the cheapest piece of shit possible that only gives you a grid ref.

    I had a 60 and what a waste of time.... shit reception and all it gives you is a grid ref

    It depends on the model Hunt08. I have a 60 CSX and that has full topo maps and is bloody excellent.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    I think the basic 60 is a far cry from the csx Rushy. We have twelve 60 csx units in use in our SAR group and my 62s leaves them for dead, specially in ease of use.
