Any thoughts on it? Easy to read screen in sunlight, touchscreen OK in wet/cold etc ... Interested to hear your general opinion on it

I love it. I used to have the old oregon 450 and that touch screen was horrible. Slow to drag and you had to press quite hard. I liken the screen on the new one to my iPhone. Really good to use. I think they have put a better processor in it too. Really quick response and the screen is fantasically clear in any light. Do need to turn off night mode though as that can make for a scary trip out of the bush when what was once green is now black on the screen

    Id rate it 8/10

I had a 550 the older model. It was great. Did not like the topo mapping nz, found the other mapping heaps better. A lot clearer when navigating, and easy to read.

What are the best maps for the Garmins. I think I have a 550 and its OK but like @Gibo said a bit clunky. I have one map on micro SD and its pretty shit really. Especially compared to the likes of some cheap phone apps.
