Are the other UHFs 80 channel units? If they're a bit older, they may only be 40 channel, which doesn't line up quite the same.
Unit is NZ new.
They can hear me but I cannot hear them. I do hear like a carrier wave at the start of their tx but no voice signal
Other units seem newish
Check your settings. Turn on off the mute button, check and recheck. I had the issue and found this happened one time
Mine work with several their types of radio including the cheaper models.
You might not be hearing them because your volume is on mute.
Press On button and let go.
Then turn you volume up.
I think the rhino automatically mutes when it is switched on.

I had the same problem. Had to turn the secure thingy off.
Squelch is 2 and ctcss is a off

Are all units on the same ctcss setting?
If CTCSS is off on the Rino and I dont think the other handholds have a CTCSS setting
What channel are you using?
If the other units are newish, like you say, then they are very likely to have ctcss. If you are not on the exact same channel settings, then you will only get a one way converstation
I am no expert, and am happy to be corrected .
were on channel 3 and will double check the ctcss settings next time im out with them.
Thanks for the help everyone
That is a repeater channel. (476.4750)
Suggest you go to a general chat chan such as 10. Leave all ctcss off as it is only there to scramble for security really
Will do Pengy
I was the newbie in the group and that was the channel they chose. I will speak up next time.
Thanks
Pengy is on to it.
I use channel 9 with ctcss turned off.
Cheers
