I have a huge problem with creep crawleys absolutely loving me, and wanting to hang out. Especially the bastard bitey types, what do you lot tend to combat that with?

Interesting the lack of stuff involved in the huntandfish links first aid kit.
I must admit past few trips I've had nothing which is bad I know.

What do you guys recommend on these matters?

As the only way into a sleeping bag for an insect is through the head end, then you really only have to cover your face and keep the hood up.
What's actually out there that can harm you?...centipede?...weta?...drink heaps of whiskey and then your breath will keep all at bay.
