    Geovid Binocular Tripod Mount ideas

Anyone got/used one of these? I'm really interested in mounting my geovids on my new slik tripod.
The normal center stud mount for binoculars cannot be used for geovids because of the laser for the range finder so outdoorsman make this product.

I was keen to buy one of these ring mounts from the USA until I went through the checkout and the final price with exchange taken into consideration was over $200.

I'm now thinking about ways I can jimmy one up myself. I thought about contacting a 3d printer but worry the time to design one would cost a ridiculous amount. I've thought about using a hose clamp/clip and epoxy. I've thought about polymorph pellets.

Anybody have any brilliant ideas on how to make one of these?

Does it have a 1/4" threaded hole in the front of the hinge like other binoculars?
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

No it doesn't unfortunately otherwise I would grab one of those mounts as they're quite cheap. The Center hinge threaded hole contains the laser for the rangefinder in this model geovids.

Couldn't you just use a flat plate (neoprene or something on top) with a threaded piece in the bottom (to mount on the tripod head) and a strap over the top...

Like one of these ones. Surely easier to make then what you are looking at there.
