Why go into the hills, somethig hat big you just shoot them off the back porch..... 3 in the mag isn't enough?
What is it
A wheel barrow.
How many does the mag hold?
Two I’d say if it’s built on a long action
So what's the difference between a 338 Lapua and the 338 edge?
My pocket
338 edge is a 300 rum necked to 338, which can replicate 338 Lapua performance.
338 Lapua has a bolt face larger than the standard mag face. So a simple rebarrel of a rem 700 with a normal mag bolt face and you can have 338 Lapua performance.

Why??????becasue we can:thumbsup:
Had HGD make up a leather holder to take 6 7RUM cases.
I'm picking its a long range outfit.
If you haven't killed it with 3 you're unlikely it hit it with a 4th.:)
I'd just put some spares in your pack.
Yes exactly, but you need to put them in something to hold them properly. You don't go to all the trouble of building a quality accurate long range rifle and make the best concentric ammo you can to have them rattle round in a pocket and potentially cause runout. With the leverage of a very long projectile it's very possible.

Link to the pouches Clint?
Two options that'll work for you and me
Duncan has this one http://www.shoot-long.com/products/l...a-made-in-usa/
And a hard plastic mtm case at lower cost and potentially even better protection is the large one of these fits the 28N with 195 seated right out http://gunworks.co.nz/shop/item/mtm-ammo-wallet

This gets most things most places-
And heaven help you if you ever want to fly AirNZ - cos the Ammo “must be packed in branded packaging “ !?!?
Just been thru this with on flight and they thru out all my 284 Ammo (with out telling me) cos it was packed in a soft case Ammo pouch. Only found out after being dropped in by Choppa & go to grab the ammo...... fuckers!!
I've got one of those MTM ammo wallets, really good.
Flight was Auckland to Q’town. When I quizzed the Air NZ people at Q’town for the return flight they didn’t have a farkin clue - just kept reading the phrase “must be in branded packaging” and when I pointed out that this was impossible for 284 and it was hand loaded ammo they said they had no idea but go talk to the guy at firearm check in. He was equally clueless :omg:
Ive got two tatty looking original packaging 270 boxes that have flown 308, 223, and 6.5x55 around without issue. Play by there rules and beat them at there own game I say
