    Good, affordable, small knife

Probably been discussed since the days of the cavemen but hey.
I like my mercator but a mate asked me and thought I’d check on here what’s recommended?
Obviously for hunting - skinning and quartering deer.

Svord Peasant looks good and cheap.

as you asked for cheap..bacho all day long... PERSONALLY I get along with the svord peasant...I have the tiny and large versions and both are sharp enough to shave hair off my arm...have dressed out deer and sheep with them both,no worries.

I bought an opinel #8 6 months ago. Not much use so far but I'm impressed. I ground the tip just a tad to give it a small drop point.

Honey badger excellent wee folders and a bit more belly to them than a mercator so they skin a lot better

Mercators are good but way too much coin for what they are.

I use a Gerber folder. Don't know the model but thin handle and about 3and bit inch blade. About 55 bucks and hold a good edge with enough meat for taking off skin. Been using it for 6 or 8 years.
