There's a lesson I learnt the hard way. Being in the bush at night without the GPS to tell me were camp was wasn't very fun. And the battery's in the camera didn't have enough juice to turn on the GPS either.Quote:

I am looking at replacing my PocketPC with a GPS reciver that is around 8 years old now - Touch screen with a SRIFFIII chipset and Memory Map had great accuracy and detail. I am looking at replacing it with a Garmin 62SC for $599 with that hunting and fishing special with Fresh Maps. What is the quality of map like with Fresh map?

The Oregon series will as they are the old fashioned type of touch screen that you actually have to press. Water doesn't effect them. If you are used to whizzing around a iphone or android phone then going back to the old style screens is a bit of a shock.Quote:
