I have a pair of Kaikouras that BRADS kindly gave me at the end of last year. They had had little use when I got them and now they falling apart. To be fair, I have given them a thrashing, had nearly 30 days on the hill since then, but I don't think I'll be buying a pair of Grisports when I run these into the ground. The sewing is coming out (I sent them to the boot repairs but he sent them back saying his sewing kit could work with the thick leather, will try another place) and on this last hunt of the lace eyelets came out. Not a bad boot I guess it just depends on how much you get out and thus how long you expect them to last, after all, no boot lasts forever.

I haven't had any issues VC, a very comfy boot, can feel a bit high two start with.
You'd expect a very good boot for the $ thou.

I could not stop my heal lifting in mine no matter how tight i did them up, obviously don't suit my foot shape or gait or something.
