JonP, drawing from the memories of my old man from about fifty five years ago, a blanket and about three foot six of baling twine will see you right in a pinch. Tie the baling twine from the barrel to the waist of the butt and then wrap up in the blanket. May not sound flash but my old man used to reckon the blanket will keep you warm if you get caught out and have to over night in the bush and the baling twine has a number of uses from trussing up the legs to pack out an animal, to emergency tourniquet and untwining the fibres for tinder.

You are not likely to find this combo in any Gun City or H&F store. Smaller places like "Rushy's Rough and Ready" will carry them though.
gadgetman, tiroatedson and Gerbs like this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely

Bailer twine, the greatest agricultural invention, more uses than a Swiss army knife
