I've had a PM11 3-12 on a Finnlight for years, never regretted it.

Get the NX8, you can always sell it if not happy with it.
I'm a nightforce whore, had a few different models over the years, I run a nxs compact on a 300 blackout and a atacr on my 338 edge.
I hold off for wind and the ffp is nice feature when not max magnification.

I got a vx3 when they came out and went to a 6 when they arrived on the scene.
The 6 is great but I would like something lighter....but what?

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

My 3 was ok but I fucked up and got a LR...side parallax in a hunting scope is a waste of time literally!.

But the 6 is way better optically, is the 3i equivalent glass wise? I haven't looked threw a 3i

you are welcome to look thru my Vx3i 2-8, it aint no VX5 but it works better than the NF, Vx3LR and VX6, no dial up and no parallax. Simple is good

My most recent plan for my finnlight was to have the vx5 3-15x44 for target shooting but run with the vx3i 2.5-8x36 for a hunting scope.
I took the vx3 and rings to the range today but never swapped the scopes over, I might do it once my load development is done.

New 2.4-12 Z5 looks pretty good Cam, had a fondle of one the other day and was tossing up between it and the 3.5-18, ended up with the 3.5-18 but only because I want to shoot a bit of steel every now and then and side focus be good for that. The 2.4-12 was every bit as good optically, but simpler, no side focus, can be had with or without ballistic turret

Color me interested.....can ya get the 3.5-18 with no side focus/parallax adj ? that mag range in a lighter scope than the 6 would be ideal.

Not sure, theres probably something in the Z6 range that would be similar but you're stepping up quite a bit in price and probably weight also
