    High cut boots

I'm in the market for new boots and wonder if high cut boots is worth a try. I like boots with good ankle support, stiff enough for crampon and a solid rand for those boot eating scree faces.
Any pros / cons for high cut boots?

I tried high top boots some time ago and found them good except in steep going where you had severe pinching of the front of your ankle when going uphill.

Dont do it ! If your ankle cant move, all the movement gets transferred to the knees - result sore knees. I have Tibets and they are amazing for the support but retain good ankle articulation.

I too found the pricing very good, I put the system to the test and got a pair of Lowa Camino GTX for $360. Took 12 days to arrive
