Just got an email from Swazi that theyre doing "hush puttees" ordered a pair for my old man and a pair for myself. I like the swazi gaiters but looking for something shorter.

I reckon theyd be alright caught up around the lace hooks at the top of the boot, we both have thick legs and it is a chore to get most gaiters on boots. Ill see how they go

Ive worn them twice now, in heavy rain and crossed a knee deep creek twice and feet were dry, they dont seal perfectly around the bottom of the boot like a traditional neoprene puttee would but they slowed it enough for nothing noticeable to get in.

Today I wore them climbing a steep creek with mud flats 300mm deep in some areas, I didnt feel that they rode up, the elastic or shock cord sewn in seems to be of good quality. I would buy them again, they could be a bit loud material wise for some people.
