Cheap arse cell phone plugged in beside the bed and used as alarm / camera but not a phone. (Also comes in handy if you drop / damage / drown your phone as all you do is swap the sim and you are coping....) If you have a basic phone with all the gadgets, widgets and extras turned off, batt life can be pretty good too.
