Do many people here use them? I’ve got a good twin needle one with a few pouches but find I still need to take a backpack for clothes or carrying out meat.
Not sure whether to chuck it in my pack for the next hunt as it takes up so much space, or just use a day pack from the hut.

Only people who I know who use them are pig hunters. But would be good for a day hunt.
I think you'd probably be better off with a polar fleece Pikau. Quiet and folds down quite well.
And they hold a lot of meat in them too

I used to wear one 20 years who I find a Pikau so much more comfortable/practical.
You can fit a boned out deer in one and I got sick of washing all the blood and shit off my belt order after carrying animals out whole.
I used a belt with pouches for a while, but there wasn't really enough storage space. I persevered with it because it was nice not getting a sweaty back, but went for a daypack/pikau in the end.
Daypack is much more versatile / larger carrying capacity / can use it as a rifle rest instead of a bipod / more secure ( the more pouches and zips the more shit falls out and gets lost ).
I have discovered the Holy Grail. A Ridgeline multi pocket bumbag / belt sewn to a 'Gamegear' zip front Pikau. The Pikau is great, quiet easy to move under obstacles but lacks a belt to support weight and stop it flopping around. The multi pocket belt thingy's are great but can ride up and down when climbing and feel uncomfortable as well as not carrying clothes etc. Sew them together and it is a perfect marriage with the Pikau holding the belt up straight and the belt supporting the Pikau. All problems solved, all things to all people !!

I use a belt with 2 small pouches. One is for general hunting gear, ammo, spare knife, pull through, string, stone etc the other is first aid, survival stuff and plb. The shit you always carry but hope you never have to use. On short hunts from camp it goes around my waist. Day hunts it's in my pikau and goes around my waist if the pikau gets filled. On overnight trips it goes in the top of my pack where I can get it quickly.

It holds quite a bit of kit. I tried a few times to post a photo, but me laptop refuses to this morning. Always says the file's too big.
