Just curious, could you have it on hold, then activate it when you have an emergency, or does it need to be activated while in a cell/Internet area?
I have a PLB away getting new batteries at present, but just been told they won't replace the battery as it will be it's third set. They are concerned the unit may not be reliable due to age. Makes sense.
I'm tossing up whether to go PLB or messaging system.
