Thread: Inreach hire?

So on saturday im heading into the Te Anau bush for a week and Mrs. Dyls has insisted at the last minute that i hire an InReach and take it in. Is there anywhere around Queenstown that rents them out? I've just brought a new rifle, tent, plb and sleeping bag for this trip so i think ill be strung up if i go out and buy one.


It was her idea though.....

There is a place in Christchurch that hires them, too late now to courier I would think, there was a recent thread on it.

What part of Bush are you heading into? There’s actually a surprising amount of cell coverage around Te Anau until you get right up the back of the arms if headed that direction

Yeah were heading fairly far back. Ill just buy one then at least im away for a week and it'll all be forgotten by the time i get back. Hopefully.

At least with the Inreach you can message Mrs Dyls & assess the situation. If it turns out all is not forgotten you can just wait it out in the hills a bit longer until that point is reached
