    Inreach Mini

Does anyone have one of these? Keen to hear your thoughts. Understood the mapping function is next to useless

Interested in whether I should go for the smaller option or the Explorer+ unit with inbuilt maps

The Mini is a bit smaller physically, but the weight difference is not that significant

I have the other one, the yellow one, without the maps. The maps looked pretty shitty tbh and I carry a Garmin GPS separately anyway. The mini is super small but personally I didn’t like the battery life (half the run time of its big brother).

Cheers, battery life may answer the question...
