    Hey

got one for my birthday this year and did a lot of research on them

I ended up with the primus version which is (on paper) faster and lighter than the jet boil and kovea equivalent. You can also use the primus one with normal pots as it comes with potstands and comes with a hanging hook if you needed to use it in such a way as being suspended off a cliff (yes I did see this on youtube) or a tent pole etc...

man they are really fuel efficient too. boils 500ml in about 2.5 mins. ive used mine on two solo over nights ( dinner lunch and breakfast plus drinks with each, about 3 day trips ( lunch plus drink) and the odd test when I got it. the can is almost empty!

It all packs down inside the billy too which is nice

Im sold on my jet boil . Totally recommend it . I can't remember why I chose it over the primis but the primis would have to be bloody good to be better than a jet boil

bloody awesome piece of kit. Boils water FAST. Packs up small. Quick to use . IS LIGHT. Comes with a pot if you need one.

They used to come with a hanging kit which is also brilliant. Hang it in a tree - hang it from the centre of the tent.

    Just love it to bits.

Do NOT try to heat milk in it ...

NZHunter did a very thorough review of Jetboil type stoves. They were all way better then normal gas and similar in fuel efficiency from memory. It seemed to be personal choice as to which one to buy.

In what way were they better stug ? Faster boil ?

I just think they are heavy. My entire cook set, including gas, pot, stove weighs less than jetboil flash without canister

Yeah, but you drill lightening holes in EVERYTHING ... which I would ordinarily agree with ... but the bottom of your billy has never been the same since ...

Faster and a lot more fuel efficient. Also better in wind.

They weigh F all , it's your lack of fuel that makes up for them any way . Small canister fits inside so very efficient shape/ size to carry as well . I rate mine 10/10
