Thread: K-2 query

Hey all.

Looking for a specific bit of advice regarding a trademe post.

This item looks good to me, but I'm really keen on getting the sturdy as (I think external frame) K-2 Hunter. Weight be damned. However, this looks it might be the plexiframe pack, maybe an old one. Can anyone give me some quick advice as to whether or not this is the OG frame pack?

@Barry the hunter has a K2 contracter pack for sale...similar to the K2 Hunter but less pockets..if I didnt already have the hunter I would buy it myself.

@iambatman That's their internal frame model not the external frame one.

Have a 95L Hunter external frame one with detachable day pack and rifle holder you can have for $200 if your interested?

BUY IT.....dont muck around...you will NOT regret it one little bit....I moved the shoulder straps out a bit to suit my fat neck...absolutely love that pack.

Don't intend on letting this one go by, Micky. I was so keen on this, in no small part due to your glowing, forum wide reviews, that I was pricing up a trip down south!

I have the same pack as the trademe listing. It is an extremely rugged pack, super solid and comfortable with a big load. I also ordered mine without the side pockets. The main advantage over the external frame pack, is that it is a lot narrower, so is more forgiving in the tight spots.

Kelly County in Brightwater own K2 packs now, my partners friend is sewing them together for them, they have new packs in store and I'm sure they can handle any repairs as well.
