I have the 85 liter K2 as well, often use it as a day pack when I plan on filling up on veni or Tahr, my pack is 30yrs old and has cable ties and strapping tape in places, and it just keeps on carrying out truckloads, comfortable and unbreakable (and made in NZ, not fucking China or Bangladesh!) - sometimes you see guys scooting about with a wee pack on, and you think: where the fuck are they gonna put an animal?

Get the big one, you can dump it at the bottom of a hill, zip off the day bag, get your animal and come back to the main pack for the carry.
