I’ve just rehandled a Hytest and use a hickory handle. It’s a big 5lb head. The handle is American hickory made by Bahco.

I looked at those Bahco poles when I was looking for a handle for my Hytest head - none in stock or available as the boat was delayed! There's another couple of brands available like Freund, Truper, Helko (very spendy) but the best I found for price and availability was the Leech option. The Freund option had a square eye, fit yourself... The Truper was borderline size wise for the Kelly axe head eyes but was OK for the Hytest - the only one I found was not straight though.

this is the only stampings on this one.

the kelly emblem should be on left hand side but they seem to be widely varied as to what they are stamped

There’s no Kelly stamp on the “Worlds Finest” axes.

Really?

It's a bit crusty but that's a Kelly Worlds Finest with True Temper and Made in Canada on the other side...

all my research on Kellys has shown stamps differ but worlds finest is a kelly trademark I had several in my collection but as I said all of mine have gone to good homes

I’m talking about the ones typically marked “Worlds Finest” Made In USA. Yes they are Kelly’s but they aren’t marked with a Kelly stamp.
