    Kifaru Argali Pack

Done a fair amount of research on a new pack, settled with the Kifaru Argali with Guide Lid. Cost me a small fortune but I like nice things. It's all US made out of Colorado.

The frame is custom, I had to send through all of my measurements. There is a huge amount of packs, lids, pockts, bags, carry cases all with a big variety of colours.

I had originally had the Kuiu ICON Pro 5200 which I have now sold, got frustrated by quite a few things.

I have 9 days in S.I coming up, looking forward to testing it out.

Wow that looks sweet. Congratulations! Is that a lumbar pad hanging by four corners? Looks very adjustable and very plush

Main issue is that the carbon fibre platform would always seperate from the bag which in turn makes the bag only attached by the straps, quite hard to explain. It would come off the frame under heavy load and would piss me off something chronic trying to put it back on. Especially during a massive walk in or walk out.

Also got annoyed at the amount of straps and 'dangley' things hanging off the pack. Didn't like the excessive amount of pockets.

Don't get me wrong, they are a great bag, just not suited to me.

This pack is far more minimilist. One large 100L main compartment with 1x small accessory pouch inside the main bag. Everything else is stored in the black bags on the outside. The bag can be easily used as a daybag once it is compressed with the 3 straps. (3 straps in total)

Kifaru is next level in comfort in my opinion.

I have done probably 10/15 8+ hour walkins with my Kuiu.

    Animal.

Kifaru musty be pretty comfy cos the kuiu is nice to carry.
I've only recently brought the 5200 pack cos I want to carry more camera gear but I can see how it might be a bit annoying and flop around a little much

Yeah it will require a bit of thought in regards to placement and positioning of your gear to maximise the comfort
