I’ve had a Montana .308 for years, it’s always my first choice when deer stalking.

Yep I’ve got a 223, 1:9 fluted barrel. Very nice, bit fussy on ammo, but hey Norma sorted it!

    Montana 7m-08
Set up by Philipo - just love it
Shot 3 pigs yesterday with my bum still on the Quad seat - surprised myself how quick I got away 3 shots
Lovely setup - only regret - did not have it years ago

I was most impressed with my mates Sub Alpine 30-06, much better than my custom m700 and cheaper too

    Great wee rifle.
Mine (708 Montana) has been chopped to 18" and is very accurate.
    My go to hunting rifle.

Every kimber I have come across has been a fussy rifle, ie: it shoots great.... if you can find the load it likes, but definitely not one of those fuss free rifles that will eat most factory ammo no worries and easy to develop a load for. I have heard of more than a few which were duds so there's a luck of the draw thing happening there also.

My mountain ascent 308 has been a dream to carry for many years, dropped every thing I have pointed it at and I have finally found a couple of loAds that print into the same hole. Very good shooter!

Have a kimber Hunter in 6.5x48 chopped to 16”.

Shoots well, light and accurate too!

Put the first 4 brands of ammo into an inch at 100m and handloads are half that...
    Warm Barrels!
