    Knifes for hunting

    Kiaora cuzzies
I'm getting into a bit of hunting looking at mostly deer and pig (stalking them, not with dogs).
What knives do I need for field dressing a deer/pig and butchering them?
I"m just starting up and am on a pretty tight budget..
If you could help that would be mean
    Cheers
    Tom

A short boning knife will sort everything you need, cost you roughly $30 plus a sheath to put it in.

Bahco as above and make your own from an old saw blade.

    cheers team...
I'll have a look into these bahco's as they fit my budget pretty well haha..
I do have a soft spot for leather and wood though so can't promise I won't be tempted to spill a couple more pennys on a wooden handle!

Another vote for Bahco, I have a fancy knife now but the only thing it does better than the Bahco is being a heavy little bugger

Its easy, every hunt you come home from you take that knife off and put another one on, take week about turns, no problems here!!\

I have just knocked up a sheath for a F Dick straight boning knife. Can supply knife and sheath for $125 plus postage if keen. Can post photos if you want
