Beautiful. My partner just got a Benchmade from his dad for his birthday. I love the leather sheaths eh.

Would like one of yours but it would be blasphemy to put a plastic handle Svord in it!!!

Just replaced my old Gerber Gator after the handle was falling to bits after 16 years of hard use. So got my first quality folding knife Benchmade Contego with CPM-M4 steel and the Havalon Paranta.

That havalon looks an interesting blade, small and sharp for skinning

Someone should probably mention Victory Knives too, for about $30 you could get a drop-point with a plastic sheath. I've noticed my Bahco blade tends to chip a bit and, maybe its the way I sharpen it but I can't seem to put a good edge on it in the field. I'd say Victory knives have better steel, I seem to be able to put a better edge on them anyway.

The bahco comes up like a razor when sharpened with ceramic rods

    2. Got this little ripper from a knife maker in Tauraunga, fantastic on the skinning front...

    3. Got the Ken Onion boner/filleter not long ago, a beaut little knife...

    4. And for the bigger jobs a set of knives from Shark Knives in Kaitaia.

where did you get your Havalon from @tikka ? What model is that?

I have a Havalon Piranha Edge on order from Blademaster for about $65. He doesn't stock them but can get them in

Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.
