    Knives of Alaska Aloha Wolf

Hey does anyone have one of these? I’m considering one in S30V. Any experiences to share? I’ve held one before and the finish is pretty average but I like the shape. But I’ve been reading that quality of S30V can vary.

Every steel will vary with different makers, flash modern steels are hard to heat treat properly.

I like the blade shape, not keen on the finger choil handles though.

Another option in the same style and price range would be the lt wright northern hunter in Aeb-l or 3v (more money). Mean little knives. Small Northern hunter will be my next knife purchase

Hi have one of these. The shape is good the steel is easy to sharpen. The thing I don’t like about the knife is if the handle gets covered in blood it gets very slippery.

Well that’s not good. I guess the stag handles would get slippery too. That option is alot more pricey anyway. I like the look of the Northern Hunter - haven’t really come across that brand before. Would you go convex or flat grind?

Ha yeah you got that right. I actually really like those fluoro orange handles.
