Question Kuiu Attack Pants worth it?

Hi team, someone is treating me to a present so looking at getting something a bit nicer. Kuiu attack pants seem to be the ducks nuts based on what I have heard. Just interested to know if they will be fine to wear without gaiters through matagouri etc or would they rip?

Most of my hunting is on the tops in Canterbury so think they would be fine but inevitably have to crash through some bush most trips. Just don't want to spend the $$ on pants if I have to wear my gaiters anyway. I normally just run thermals, stubbies and gaiters.

Second option was to get. FirstLite Merino hoodie for a mid-layer. Apparently the FirstLite Kiln merino is real good, any other recommendations?

    Cheers

Attack pants are brilliant but pill a bit on matagouri and other scrub
The Kutana are better in most ways for me, tougher, stretchier, cooler and even seem to repel water

I have both Katana and Attack both are awesome, Attack are hotter and I could only wear them in winter.
The Katana are my favourite no where near as warm but tough and stretch and don't fall down.
I still wear gatters to keep the water and crap out when crossing rivers etc

A set of canvas chaps work really well in matagouri, they bypass need for chaps and work well with shorts in hot weather. Can't stand long pants in anything but super cold weather as the drag on legs while climbing tires me faster.loose track pants being ok.

You need to try the Katana they don't drag or slip down.

I find the Attack pants run far too warm for my liking, much prefer my Kutana's
