hi me again, someone mentioned these gaiters so took a look at them and read a few reviews, seems to be good gear,my question is do any of you lads have any first hand experience. thanks again

From Kuiu website. A mate bought some online over there and brought them back to nz for me. I have talked to them about sending stuff to nz. Shipping could be quite costly but they will do it. Also size range is a problem when your a small like me and the lowest they do is medium.

Kuiu shipping is quite reasonable. 16USD for less than $100. Almost bought a pair last night but all gaiters are on back order.

When i emailed them about shipping the lady i was talking to seemed to think it might be round 50USD. I would hazard a guess that she was just guessing though.

well got an email back from kuiu, the gaiters are on backorder they are expecting a shipment in march but not sure what colour are coming not that the colour would matter. think I might purchase

So i gave mine a work out this weekend. Really comfy. Light and stay up well. I personally think the laces hook needs to be bigger. The dome at the bottom beside the hook had a tendency of coming undone. The bottom strap took a hiding and is looking unscathed which is good. Really good fit around my Haix and let in very little water. But i have managed to put a pin prick of a hole in it (i think from spaniards or matagouri) so will have to glue that before it becomes larger.

Would i recommend them?

Yes if doing tops work. What little bush stalking i did this weekend they were a little scratchy in low ferns when compared to my old huntech ones.

Mine now have a hole in them, must have been from matagouri
