I asked gadgetman about this topic, and the reply was start a thread! to find what others have found that works.
A lot of the expensive local stuff is rubbish.
A lot of the cheap stuff from overseas is really good, while some of the cheap stuff is rubbish.
Opinions are like elbows every one has a couple of them.
If you have some good input, let the forum know what's great and works:)

Went with two pairs of spots, two fog / wide beam for going round corners and two spots for long range. Thought about a bar but was a bit unsure about wof issues which I believe are being resolved. If you get a bar don't mofpunt it above the windscreen, been in a truck with one up there in heavy rain bloody useless, like driving with full beams in the fog

Can you give a bit more on it what sort of throw in distance terms, have you both mounted it on the bumper?
Does it wash out close stuff, would it work as a backing light as well?(this question came from tentman+)
What sort of cost is the unit?
The thread is about trying to find best of the LEDS and in cost terms as well:)

These LEDS called TECHLIGHT from Jaycar Electronics are pretty good throw a floodlight that is so bright that the existing headlights are just visible.Quote:

I have four pairs of these on different vehicles . Some are three years old no issues.
Stedi are very good. My son has one on his truck. Man it makes for easy night driving. Separate switch done by Steve Williams in Napier.Quote:
