    About 5 years back there was a Nz made one that bolted to a saw .It was a lot better made than what is available now.From memory it had a 3 ton single line pull.I can't find any links to it now pretty sure it was on trademe for a bit around that time.

    That may have been the one built by a good mate of mine, I think he sold them as the "Salmon Winch". Had a really nice cast alloy housing with the drum out front and and it bolted to either a Stihl 66 or 88 Magnum powerhead... I can't remember which. Yeah he had em on TM for a while and short vids on Youtube of pulling logs and boulders around a paddock. Did a quick search but can't find any reference to it now sadly.
