    Question Light Raincoat

Just got a new smaller pack for overnighters etc and to try and get everything in as well as a Swazi Tahr Anorak just aint going to work. I was thinking a lighter, single material type jacket would be the go that packs down to a small volume. I did have a nylon type jacket in my golf bag that was earmarked but the wife ripped it the other day.
Who has a light, compact jacket that they like for hunting in that you'd recommend?

I have a lite gortex anorak from swazi? I bought it years ago and it works as you would expect in the conditions. I would give it to you as I dont use it anymore but I noted you were well over 6 foot so it mite not fit. Ill send it up anyway if ya want. Just remembered its a Huntec.

I have a Huntech raincoat, though it's made from Milair, not Gortex, awesome light weight coat and seems very water proof. I only ever wear it under another coat or swannie so it dont ripped on any bush.

If you want real light , maybe this.
Hunters Element Ultralight Jacket - Hunters, Element, Ultralight, Jacket, Windproof, ... - Gun City

    I got the Stow-it Coat
    STOWit Jacket
Is good, isnt all that quiet wouldnt go scrub bashing in it but does the job.
Used it this weekend in wanganui hail storms on exposed hills chasing fallow.
    Did the job well.

The Hunters element looks a bit longer maybe?

I brought a Stony Creek "Stow it" the other day from Farmlands for $90, seems like a good LW for the $$$$
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Hey, im in the same boat, i want a small lightweight rain jacket that compacts down into a small pouch to live in the bottom of my stoney creek 15L day bag.
Has anyone tried the rigdeline one and competitors equivilents?
I don't have $150 to spend on a back up rain jacket at the moment unfortunatly

    Light Raincoat

British army Goretex in DPM camo off Ebay.

These are the mutts nuts...had one for years. They are just a Goretex shell, pack down to nothing and weigh very little.
