Light weight packs with solid harnesses?

I'm still searching for a pack to replace my 15 year old cascade. But each pack I buy isn't up to carrying weight in the same way. The cascade can make 30kg feel like less where as some of the other packs I've bought and sold make light weights almost unbearable....

Ideally looking for something 60l that has a brilliant harness. And Has the weight sit close to your back. Simple single compartment with no frilly crap.....

Any thoughts or recommendations? Cactus hunt away looks great but not exactly a light pack.

You don't hunt often enough to warrant upgrading any of your gear!

Doesn't that just mean they will have to get out more to justify the pack

Have you looked at Markhor packs?

I have an Eterlou 45L that has held some seriously heavy loads and is still quite comfortable to carry. They do a 55 +10L pack that is almost the same.

I switched from a ~12yr old Cascade 85 to an Ascent 75 a year or two back, about 800g lighter from memory and still carries loads well.

Got a Kuiu Ultra 3000 pack as new... modular frame size is large/tall and you add any other Kuiu pack bags that you might require...

The harness and frame set up is really comfortable. I have too many packs and am rationalising if you are interested....

So you need a bigger pack with a good harness to carry them out...

I went and looked at the exped. Looks good but the harness looks really dodgy. Have people used this loaded up? Say 25kg for 4-6hours? How does it perform? Thanks!

The lightnings harness is pretty damn good man, the hip belt is the shit, all the weight sits on your hips so the harness could be a couple of bit of paracord and it would still be sweet.
My only complaint is that the sternum strap slips, but I haven't found a pack that doesn't so maybe its just me.
Go to bivouac, load one up and check for yourself

Exped Backcountry 65L Tramping Pack - Bivouac Online Store
Only slightly heavier than the lightning but looks alot more robust.
