About LinkBacksMSR Access 3. Impressed with mine. Very light for the volume of space if gives you and is what they call a bushline 4 season tent so it stands up to the weather well without being a 6kg mountaineering tent.
Bit more than your $1000 budget but someone might be selling a secondhand one?
