Ankle support is the main criteria with a boot (in my eye)
I stumbled upon a pair of near new Stoney Creek Rusa boots - all the forum reports said they were crap etc - but after wearing out pair #2 I luckily found another pair that were new.
They are like slippers on - light as a feather - but I am presuming not strong enough for bigger guys.
Hard to go back to my Lowa or Scarpa after them - but the Rusa wouldn't stand up in Fiordland or the likes for any peiod of time I imagine?
I am bring in "used" boots from East Europe now.

Ryan - I think I saw a pair of "La Spotiva Karakourum's" the other day that I could have got - but I only trying to get in renowned boots that will sell to Hunters.
Let me know (and others FM) if you want me to watch out for something in particular - and sizing
