We all want the impossible from hunting clothing, myself included. Lightweight, waterproof and durable (plus quiet) is a tall order for any material.

The taped seams have all stayed taped, not like the modern versions floating around that seem to have their tape seals fail quite easily. It rolls up into the hood and takes up little room in the daypack. I also have an ex British army goretex jacket, have it a very thorough test over the weekend and it perfromed exceptionally well.
Very waterproof yet reasonably breathable, hardwearing material I am happy to take through rough bush.

I recently bought a lightweight Macpac jacket, it is pretty thin and is extreme light, but I wouldn't be keen taking it through blackberry or rolling around on the ground too much.
But as a hiking jacket that will get carried more than worn it is just what I needed.

Just got another army gortex raincoat, same size except longer model. Very pleased with it and it weighs in at 693 grams on the scales. Already been in another downpour while walking the dogs and no leaks at all and toasty inside.

I have a Black diamond Stormline rain jacket, 320 grams. A couple of pockets and pit zips. Simple adjustable hood. Its kept me dry the last two winters on the fence line (farm fencing, so not exactly kind to gear) I wash it when its filthy and reproof it. It seems to breath well enough too. I've got an Arc'teryx too but not for hunting. Its 7 years old, made with Gore-Tex pro and has never let me down in day after day of downpours. You'd have to take a seat when they present you with the invoice though.
With regards to stow it jackets, mine leaked all around the shoulders and neck after just two hours in steady rain. Some Stoney creek gear hasn't been well thought out in my experience.

+1 for the Swazi tahr ultralite. Rate mine, good long cut very lite weight keeps wind out. Anything made of lite weight material will leak after to much scrub bashing tho.

Which model is the longer version?

When you order you can choose between 2 or 3 heights for the same chest measurement. The long is 100mm longer than the medium.

Agree the Copeland is pretty good value and decent length

Like a lot I seems to have tried all sorts of jackets over the years. The old Swazi Thar anorak I got 20 years ago was my favourite for a while and is still going but saved for use from the truck due to weight. It does get heavy when wet and used to be frozen solid every morning when fly camp Thar hunting but does keep you warm.

I’ve now moved onto lightweight jackets and am not worried about the brushed silent outer as I find with polar fleece and merino etc I’d rather get a bit wet without a coat on than overheat in a raincoat. I had been using a Stowit jacket but moved onto a HE Halo like others have mentioned and it’s got a better length and also better hood design. That’s my pick now as they are good value for money
