    Lightweight Summer Sleeping Bags

    Hey team,

I'm after some recommendations for a lightweight summer sleeping bag that area sub 500g in weight. I currently looing at a sea to summit spark SP1 or maybe a macpac escapade 150 but don't it will be warm enough for summer tops hunting in the Kaimanawas on colder nights during summer.

    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers

I have a Macpac 800 loft 400gr fill bag. Can’t remember the model. It is plenty warm enough for South Island tops from September to May. I suggest any bag with similar loft and fill weight.

Quilts are the go for summer conditions imo. Way nicer than a sleeping bag and lighter for the equivelent warmth

Another vote for one planet nitrous. I went with the +2. For a large it weighs 534grams. I’d happily use it down to 0.

I brought a Halo superlight for a summer bag and have added a sea to summit liner for the cooler months.

Thanks team, I think I’m either going to go with either the one planet nitrous or one planet quilt. The quilt seems like a great idea for a summer bag. Cheers
