    Little gear report

Huntech has some new kit out thru hunting and fishing and I got my hands on the rugger shorts and high country longsleve top and the shorts were awesome for me as they have a spandex type material in the crouch for flexabiltiy which in the Ruahines is good for short leggerd fullas. They dried quick felt like strong material and if I put stuff in my pockets they stayed there no complaints from me and I gave them a bloody good workout this weeknd.

Good work on those shorts Huntech.

I bought a pair of the shorts too, only worn them at work so far but they offer a great range of movement! Will give them a go in the bush this week.

Their old shorts were shit. The crotch hangs down like you're off "crumping with your homies" or you have to pull them up till they're under your armpits. Do they have the dry seat still?

No dry seat and they didnt hang around me knee caps.there pretty basic hearty shorts which feel to me that the crouch wont rip in a hurry they also have the same design in there cargo type shorts and pants aswell.the stitching seam's pretty good to me but early days.

The model with cargo pockets haven't got a dry seat area, the shorter 'stubbies' model with zip pockets looked like they have a dry seat.....both looked like they come with a pre-installed nylon webbing belt.
I had a look at the long sleeve tops out of interest, don't know why they need two domes at the wrist closure, and I couldn't get my hand through the zip into the chest pocket......

the stubbies don't have a belt that's the cargo model.I also bought the long sleve shirt found it to ok apart from bolt being caught into the cuff were the domes are from time to time.

The ones I have (other than the really really old fleece ones) have a dry east and look a bit like rugby shorts with side pockets. The problem is the cut is utter rubbish. Been looking for ages for a decent pair of shorts.

They have the details of them up on their new website, doesn't look like either type have the dry seat but some new ranges of gear are due to be released soon. RRP on the olive 'rugaz' shorts is only $30 which seems like good buying. Apparently the gaiters are going to be produced again as well.
