Thread: Long shot

Hey guys its a tall ask maybe @gundoc might at a very tight pinch have one stashed away in his spares box...

Im looking for a beretta shotgun so4 sidelock mainspring. Broke mine today

Took it out of the gun safe opened it and notice one of the ejectors went. Did not think any thing but went to shoot my first clay and nothing.....
Thought Id broken my firing pin but took it straight into my gun maker and Phill took it to bits in front of me. Main spring snapped at the head right where it engages with the dog tooth stirker.

So if my VFAL comes through (ANother long sarger for another time) I have this shotgung down to bring with me to NZ. So was wondering on a wing and a prayer if any one might have one?

ps I fly out on Monday for NZ. Phill is trying to make a main spring from another. Clever chap did his time at Holland and Holland. But the spring is of a slightly different design than most so Im not holding aout much hope as I think it will move between the pins.

Suggest you contact Beretta agents. They should stock spares.

SO4 mainsprings should be readily available from Beretta agents. Any good gunshop can order them for you.

It’s time sensitive thought.
